Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Testing and Treatment

 

If you think you may have a sexually transmitted disease, seek treatment early.
Don't let embarassment or confusion keep you from gettng help.

At the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, STD services include:

• STD testing and treatment
• Counseling
• Education
• Hepatitis A and B vaccinations for eligible clients

Get your partner to seek treatment, also. By acting quickly, you can both avoid STD-related complications.
Be sure to tell your health care provider that you suspect an STD because you may not be checked for one otherwise.
If an STD is diagnosed, take all prescribed medication, follow your provider's advice to prevent reinfection and from spreading it to other partners.

Fee
Fees are charged for clinic services, but no one will be denied services due to inability to pay.
