As part of National Public Health Week 2021, Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health honored its local health officers and Douglas County Emergency Management staff for their work and leadership during the community’s COVID-19 response.
LDCPH also honored the 2020 Health Champions after not being able to celebrate them in April 2020 due to the pandemic.
All honorees received awards during a socially distanced ceremony at Maceli’s on April 6, as part of National Public Health Week, which is celebrated each year during the first week of April. Watch video links below of the acceptance speeches from each honoree.
