[ARCHIVED] Free meals available for children, teens this summer

Free meals are available this summer for children and teens in Lawrence. The Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to all children between the ages of 1-18. These meals provide essential nutrient for growing children and teens.

• You don’t need proof of income.
• You don’t need proof of age.
• You don’t need to register.
• You don’t need meal tickets.

An adult must accompany anyone younger than 4. Adults can purchase lunch for $3.45 and breakfast for $2.15.

In addition, the Eudora Public Library will offer free lunch for children, ages 18 and younger, between noon and 1 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday through June 23 at the Eudora Public Library.

Lecompton will offer its summer meal program from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays through July 27 at the Lecompton United Methodist Church, 402 Elmore St.
