LiveWell Lawrence will mark its eighth anniversary with a celebration breakfast.

The celebration will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the Lied Center of Kansas Pavilion, 1600 Stewart Drive, Lawrence. The event is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Douglas County Community Foundation.

LiveWell Lawrence is a coalition of more than 150 community members who are working together to make it easier for Douglas County residents to eat healthy foods, be physically active and live tobacco-free. The coalition is coordinated by the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department.

“This is an opportunity to get coalition members and friends of LiveWell Lawrence together to celebrate our community’s progress and thank some of the people who have made it possible,” LiveWell Lawrence Chair Laurie Comstock said.

A short program will start at 8 a.m. and include announcement of the Douglas County Community Foundation’s LiveWell Community Wellness Grants and presentation of the LiveWell Lawrence Culture of Health Action Awards.
