During a hectic time in mid-March, as the Douglas County was seeing some of its first cases of COVID-19, Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health nurses donned personal protective equipment, met approaching vehicles in the parking lot and swabbed patients.

LDCPH operates COVID-19 testing site in east Lawrence

The testing site at 1941 Haskell Ave. is available by appointment through an order by a physician. Anyone without a primary care provider can call the Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health Coronavirus hotline, 785-856-4343, to speak with a nurse.

Monitoring COVID-19 tests, cases by race, ethnicity in Douglas County

Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health is releasing preliminary data on the COVID-19 testing rates by race and ethnicity, though we also encourage providers to include race and ethnicity on lab orders in the future to help track this data.

LDCPH reopens more clinic services suspended during COVID-19 outbreak
