Dan Partridge has worked in local public health since 1991. In 2007, he was named Director of the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department and moved to Lawrence from Hutchinson, Kansas. His prior public health service was at the Reno County Health Department where he served in various roles including: Administrative Services Supervisor, Associate Director and Environmental Health Supervisor.
He has Bachelor of Science degrees in Fisheries Biology and Chemical Science (dual degree) and Milling Science and Management from Kansas State University. He obtained a master’s degree with honors in public health from the University of Kansas School Of Medicine-Wichita in 2007, where he was recognized as outstanding graduate for the 2006-2007 school year.
A Kansas Health Foundation Fellow and Leadership Lawrence alum, Partridge is also a 2004 graduate of the Kansas Public Health Leadership Institute and a 2002 graduate of the Kansas Public Management Center Public Health Certification program. In 2013 he served as the Kansas Association of Local Health Departments president, and in 2000 served as president of the Kansas Environmental Health Association.
He is married to Rhonda Partridge and they have two children and four grandchildren.
